OMG! I can't believe I totally missed commenting on Spring Dramas!!!>< *so fails* Anyways, here it is.^^

Spring Dramas:

Atashinchi no Danshi:
Horikita Maki is the main character who becomes an instant step-mom of 6 boys when she marries a rich man, who helps her out of debt and her homeless state. I really like this story. It has its emotional parts to it, but ultimately it's warm feeling and funny at times.^^ I recommend this is you like happy stories.

Shiroi Haru:
Abe Hiroshi is the main character who comes out of prison after 8 years. His last job as being a yakuza member was to kill a rival boss in exchange for enough money to heal his beloved girlfriend. But after he comes out of prison, he finds out that she's dead and was married. So he goes to the bakery where the man lives and harrasses him. Then he finds out that the girl he befriended at the park is the man's daughter, and the daughter of his beloved girlfriend. Later he finds out the truth that she's not the man's daughter, but in fact his own. It's a cute story of how the girl grows found of him and feels as though he's her second father, though she doesn't know the truth.^^ I recommend watching it if you like cute stories.^^

The Quiz Show:

Sakurai Sho from Arashi is the main character with support from Yokoyama Yuu from Kanjani8. The story is kinda like "who wants to be a millionaire", but instead of just giving the contestant money, they also give them a chance to make their dreams come true. I REALLY like both Sho and Yoko's acting. They're SO good! And the storyline is good too. Like solving a mystery. I recommend watching this one regardless if you like Johnny actors or not.^^

Boss:
I personally like this one because it's kinda like CSI. I don't really know the main character, Amami Yuki?o.O But ya, there are other known characters in it like Toda Erika and Takenouchi Yutaka. And for some reason the main character reminds me of myself. :P

Majo Saiban:
Ikuta Toma is the main character in this one, and it's pretty good. It's basically like "runaway jury"?? (haven't seen the movie so excuse my poor comparison :P)

Konkatsu:
I'm only watching this because Ueda's in it. Though I'm not a huge fan of his.... Plus, there's Nakai as the main character, so that helps. It's actually a pretty funny story anyways.  I would recommend watching it...just because.^^

Ghost Friends:
I don't really like the girl in it, but the story is pretty cute. The girl can see ghosts and tries to help them move on to their next life(?). The boy who she falls in love with is actually a ghost with a body. He's in search for his ghost girlfriend, but eventually he falls for the girl. If he doesn't bring back his girlfriend to the spirit world(?), his spirit will disappear forever. So he tries to spend as much time with the girl before he disappears

Boku no Imouto:
Odagiri Joe is the main character, and Nagasawa Masami is the sister. He's a doctor and she's a freelance worker. They lost their parents at a young age, and the brother tries to keep his sister out of trouble.  It's not one of my favorite dramas, but I can't stop watching it. It's pretty interesting.^^

*****

Anyways, I ran out of time, so I'll do Animes later.^^ Till then....

Hiya! Long time no comment! How's everything going over there? I don't get to hear much about the local happenings much anymore...

I've been watching the spring jdramas too, although some of the ones on your list (like Konkatsu) I didn't find very good :p It's interesting just how many crime/detective shows there are this season. There's Boss, Hancho, Rinjo, and Mr. Brain that I can think of off hand.

Shiroi Haru is the show that I like most from this season, and it's the one I was looking forward to the most, so that's kind of nice. Ever since I saw him in the first Trick, I've thought that Abe Hiroshi is an awesome, awesome guy. Every scene he's in he just owns the role. The semi-comedic scenes where he is conspiring and competing against the baker guy reminds me alot of why I loved the show Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, he can make things funny just by being grumpy and mean.

Another show you've got on your list is The Quiz Show. It's not a bad show, but I've got some issues with it. I'm going to assume you haven't seen the original one (this season's the quiz show is a sequel of sorts to another show, in case you didn't know), because it WAS a rather low-key show with basically no one in it. It was only in a half hour time slot instead of an hour, and the show was MUCH more concise and on the button...

There were only two recurring characters, the gameshow host and the producer, and they spent absolutely 0 time on side characters like the studio staff, etc. They didn't really spend much time outside of The Quiz Show itself, and when they did, it was usually really short. One thing I liked about it though, was the attention to detail and consistency to the world they had outside the show. For example, when one of the contestants was inside the convience store, he was reading a manga drawn by one of the previous contestants, while the TV in the background was talking about the police arresting another one of the contestants. They did stuff like this ALL the time, and it was pretty cool.

My biggest complaint about the new show is just how similiar the first half of the show is. They basically just took the same characters and changed them around a little bit and then padded out the episodes because they were longer. For example, the rock guy killed his band mate instead of his producer, the manga writing girl now writes keitai shousetsu, the fraud fortuneteller with the power of mars now uses the power of the zodiac. They even asked some of the same questions to the contestants!

Still, by the middle, they'd finally started to really change things around. Things like the hikkomori guy being a kidnapper really threw a curveball. Saejima's little subplot was new and a little interesting as well. The producer from the previous show appearing was really cool, too, although they changed his character drastically (how could he ever be considered a 'good guy'? :P)... Still, despite my complains and concerns, I'm looking forward to seeing the full mystery unfold. It seems to be a bit different from the previous one and I'm wondering what the writers have up their sleeve!

It's ok^^ I enjoyed your feedback.

Oh, and I've started to watch Mr. Brain too. I was surprised to find so many famous cameos in it. Of course I only started to watch it because I read somewhere that Kame was to be casted in the third episode.^^ But once I started watching it, I enjoyed the story itself too. I think I'll continue to watch this one.XDD

...maybe I should go and watch the first season of The Quiz Show too...I'm pretty much only watching it because of Sho and Yoko.XP
